Sinister Slang
i'm such a doofus. i hadn't noticed the "comments" button on the bottom of the blog page, and therefore didn't realize there was a response to my post. still new to this - - duh.
another ETA bombing in Madrid today. so i go to msnbc.com to look for more information on the old neighborhood only to find the headlining article "Sinister Slang". CNN had "Cher Condi"s mug plastered on the home page - mending fences they call it. i guess terrorists bombings are no longer headline news - unless it happens to us. Condi had some harsh words for Iran and the nuclear program. She warned Iran must live up to its international obligations to halt its nuclear program or the next steps are in the offing. "And I think everybody understands what the 'next steps' mean," . Yeah - it means bombing the bejesus out of them. Oh wait - that should be, bombing the be-allah out the them.

yeah... i've noticed all the Iran rhetoric going around. Blair even came out and said that Iran WAS a state sponsor of terror, "without a doubt".
I would like to believe that they are playing the "good cop/bad cop" game... with Europe playing the good cop and the US playing the bad cop... but considering how things went with Iraq, I really can't bet on it. Neo-Cons are fucking nuts.
That's not to say that a nuclear Iran isn't dangerous... but damn, these asswipes seem to think that military might is the only option. i guess this goes to show that they think Iraq was a "success"??
ETA bombing... they're showing that they still exist and that they have to be dealt with.
